Next months meet is a talk By Ben Hodgkinson
A summary of his talk:
Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and competition. This talk gives an insight into how far teams are prepared to go for a competitive advantage. How this drives innovation, how this is funded and how the economy has influenced Formula 1. Today’s tomorrow’s Formula 1 engine is discussed in depth. What technology is involved? What are the limitations and possibilities? How will the engineering requirements change as the rules evolve?
See you there .

Re: Midlands Meet - Arrow Mill Hotel, Alcester
I will certainly be attending (with my ever loving wife, Maureen).
Just a quick note, Ben asked that his employes name is not mentioned on the internet. However they are an engine builder that currently supply three F1 teams. One of the temas bearing the same name.
It should be an interesting talk.
Best regards
Andy

Yes, I agree ...great evening - very technical - I was amazed at the detail and the figures were just mind blowing, certainly gives you a much greater respect for what they do and I certainly now realise why they just don't quickly fire them up and get out there- fascinating - well done, thanks Ben.
Cheers,
Tim.

Yes, most excellent meeting. Really enjoyed the technology aspect that is not discussed during an F1 meeting. Had more questions but time was a pressing, still maybe at another meeting of similar subjects. Thanks again Ben. All the best in future races but do not push the Lotus off track.
