Hi Nick,
It's not a bad price for a +2, but all the usual horrors could be lurking underneath, especially if it hasn't had a chassis change. Its worth a look if you fancy a go. Not sure about the very strange after-market handle on the bonnet, and the grill looks odd but all could be easily put right especially if its had the chassis done. We have plenty of +2 enthusiasts in the club who I'm sure can give you more advice.

Not an expert on the +2 by any length but for less than 5k id expect the engine to look very used and a hand painted body, let alone the chrome door handle Does look clean on the outside, but apart from the dodgy body parts and a most likely uncared under-body it could be a good buy for someone with limited cash who's after a +2 to either race or restore. Are you after one Nick?

I'm not really after one (YET) I was trawling the VW Volkszone classifieds for nostalgia's sake and came across it. Though it might be of interest to someone on here. I did toy with the idea of having a project for a good 3 hours earlier .
