Club Lotus weekend

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick "Headsup" to say that at the Club Lotus Donington weekend (18th & 19th April) we will be racing in the Lotus on Track series next door.

VVR are going to have the orange S1 Exige back out with, possibly, a run in the S2 Elise if there is space - it is already heavily booked. It will of course be sporting the LDC decals!

All the usual suspects will be there keeping the car going so please feel free to come over and say hi in the paddock. In fact, as The Edwards' will be so busy on the stand, if you bring some tools there is a good chance you will be asked to help!

I think I read somewhere that Club Lotus will be doing special ticket prices for entrance to the show and a ticket to get into the circuit to see the racing, keep an eye on the forum for details, unless I've missed it and it's already there somewhere.

Well you sort of beat me to it there Tim.
I was going to ask if admission to the circuit would be available to visitors to the Donington Lotus exhibition; hopefully at little extra cost
The entry fee there is usually around 10 GBP
I checked out the Donington site & as usual it is not up to date at this time in the year.
(Let's hope they can manage to organise an F1 race meeting )
Will the race meeting be on Saturday, Sunday or both & what other class of cars will be racing?

cool great to see LDC on track, is this ldc's 1st season, don't remember seeing car last year. what class is it in.

Hi Paul,

We did not quite get the Exige rebuild finished last year so we raced an S2 Elise - in class A.

That car is now awaiting a rebuild but The Edwards currently have our S1 Exige and are rebuilding that ready for the modified class this year. It will run a bog standard Honda to take advantage of the power to weight regulations and to save money on drive shafts. We do have a circa 500 bhp Supercharged Honda engine sat on the bench but it is outlawed in the LoT series. If it does not sell we could conceivably run it in Super GT's or the like at some point with AMOC but it will have to wait until the piggy bank is into seven figures for that.
