I have a 2001 S2 which has an intermittent speedo. It only seems to work after the car has warmed up after about 20 mins and I am driving over 3000 rpm. Even then it is hit and miss. The rest of the dash is fine (although the odometer reading obviously stops as well). Could be the sensors, or coding, but wondered if anybody had any ideas?
Cheers.

Simple check if Eddies' suggestion doesn't help... As you may know the speedo works from a hall effect pick-up from the NSR wheel. There's a plug and socket connection clipped to the inner part of the hub which can get dislodged from the clip, may be worth checking it's not broken loose, also take it apart and check it's not corroded. - WD40 it anyway. You'll probably need to take the wheel off to get access. Once the car's jacked up, spinning the wheel should indicate a reading on the speedo which may help diagnosis.
