Chicane edition 88
I am busy working on the next edition of Chicane which is due out in March.
Why not send me an article or copy? all will be gratefully received.
This can be restoration work, re-builds, competition car details, tips or any Lotus related subject, please contact me with the detail before the end of January for inclusion.
Thanks,
Cheers,
Tim.

Re: Chicane edition 88
I wonder if the build of a Zetec Engined Elan would be of any interest to Chicane Readers sometime in the future.
It would, due to the complexity of the Subject, be quite lengthy & may need to be done in installments.
The Article together with Photos would also need a fair bit of time to put together.
Just a thought.

Elan Zetec conversion
All copy is gratefully received John, would be good if it could be condensed into two articles- I'd then put it in the autumn and spring editions. Don't bust a gut over it, but if you could write something then I'm sure a number of our members would enjoy reading about it.
cheers,
Tim.

Re: Chicane edition 88
OK Tim
Maybe I'll give it a try during the Spring & Summer whilst imbibing a few Bavarian Beers in the Sunshine on my Patio.
It will be difficult to condense some of it because at almost every point I will have to justify what I have done to the "Originality" Sector.
Of course it'll "all be in the very best of Taste"; said whilst swinging one leg theatrically over the other!
According to Kenny Everett RIP.
Cheers

Re: Chicane edition 88
Don't see why you need to justify it, each to there own, if some people are offended by modifications then they can always skip the article and move on to the nextGrumpyBodger wrote:

Believe me Tim, solid reasoning justifying changes to Spec. are essential.
I bear some of the Scars already.

Re: Chicane edition 88
As a guide 1000 words fits an A4 page of Chicane, pictures extra, we re-size the pictures to suit the article, any amount of writing is fine, we can always shuffle it around to suit.DustyM wrote:How long is a typical article Tim?TimS wrote:Why not send me an article or copy? all will be gratefully received.

Re: Chicane edition 88
Thanks both... it always seems to take a lot of time and effort but I'm very pleased when it arrives on members door mats.
I'll have extra copies at Arrow Mill tonight along with the two books that are featured.
Don't forget, next issue 89 will feature the Excel (1982-1992) so I'm hoping for some nice contributions on this car.
Cheers,
Tim.

Re: Chicane edition 88
I'm hoping to be there but, unfortunately the Seven won't be ready , (looks like the end of May before it's finished) So I'll either fly over or come in the modern motor.
