Hello
Hi,
I thought I'd join your forum and meet some like minded nutters!
I have two Lotuses (Loti?) a 1968 Elan Plus 2 and a 1962 Lotus Seven both are in the process of restoration but I'm hoping to complete the Seven for next spring.
I'm from the UK but have lived in Ireland for the last 11 years
Cheers
Jon

Re
Nutters!
Welcome along Jon, and glad to hear you have joined us for some banter and sharing those smashing photos! Do you restore Classic Cars for a living or is it simply a hobby?
Now wait until you meet the real nutters (GrumpyBodger)

As of about eighteen months ago my hobby became my living also - the jury's still out on that decision though!

Hello DustyM,
Welcome aboard!!!
I spoke to a couple of guys from Ireland at Silverstone Classic this year and they said they wanted to buy a Lotus and there was nowhere in Ireland they could go or ask. Maybe you should consider starting a Irish branch of the LDC. It could help us spread the word and help you with new business??
I would also like to visit Ireland in the car and I am certain we could organise an LDC run out.
Best wishes

Up until last year there was a Lotus main dealer in Dublin but for some reason (financial I expect) they gave it up. There is at least one independant Specialist though.
There is an Irish Lotus Club http://lotusclubireland.com/ so perhaps you could hook up with them and organise a joint tour round Ireland I might even have my Seven on the road by then!
Cheers
Jon
