Re: 2009 NEC Classic Car show
Nice pictures Eddie...three lusty maidens do go into an Elise..well at least two will
Fantastic busy time, stand looked great, a big thankyou to everyone involved. Long days for Matt, Spencer, Carolyn and Andy but hope you enjoyed it, we were very pround to have your cars to exhibit, oh and of course not forgetting Eddie and Chris's as well although they are hardened 'NEC showers' so they know what it's like
The interest in Matt's stunning Esprit made me think we should have named it "an audience with Matt" ...our LDC LOTUS GURU
On behalf of the LDC I would like to just confirm that all the hard work and effort by everyone was just brilliant...we couldn't do it without you.
Cheers, Tim.

Yes, I can only echo what Tim has already said. Many, many thanks to everyone who helped keep the Club in the public eye. I hope you all enjoyed it.

Re: 2009 NEC Classic Car show
I really enjoyed my time on the stand, you all made me feel very welcome, thankyou
Having my car on your stand was for me a great honor, I was also impressed with how well run it all was
If I can help the club out in any other way please just let me know

Re
Once again this was an absolutely fabulous effort by everyone involved and not only did we have great cars on the stand again this year but also the members to support them. All I can say Matt is keep up with the cars, your Esprit was a real honey pot and a reward for all the effort. It would be nice to see what the theme is next year as I think we could have done something nice this year had we known, especially since I know someone who works next to the highways agency. Tash and I will work on the photos we took, there are some smashing ones this year and will look great on the new website.
Thanks to everyone once again ... especially to Tim and Sue for the luxury accommodation!

Re: 2009 NEC Classic Car show
I was admiring the Esprit on the stand over the weekend, very well restored, I presume it belongs to someone on here?
Re
Ahhh ... yes it is owned and has been restored by Matt (Mattwatts). He did a brilliant article on his restoration of his Elan+2 in the latest edition of Chicane (87), a great read! The S1 Esprit generated a lot of interest over the weekend and well deserved too.DustyM wrote:I was admiring the Esprit on the stand over the weekend, very well restored, I presume it belongs to someone on here?
