I'm sure it started at £43.000 know its shot up to £47,500 to £49,875 to much money i think?

Re: Lotus Evora (2009) Review
Sorry but no chance, at least for the majority of people with the right sized wallets.
I'm afraid that Lotus has an unkillable "reputation" for poor build quality & reliability.
Reputations take ages to die unfortunately.
The Germanic alternatives have, on the other hand, excellent reputations.
For those in the market for a car at that sort of money, those are not just important but deciding factors.
I'd like the Evora as a nice toy, which no doubt it will be for those with a few pence left over at the end of the month.
However it's sales figures, Press feedback & owner satisfaction that do the counting at the end of the day.
IMHO the Elise / Exige range of cars is the type of sports car where Lotus has always excelled (no pun intended)
They were a brilliant technological breakthrough in these days of laws & regulations.
The sales success of those cars says that Lotus did it right, at last.
All of their wedgy up market cars left me cold; well apart from the Esprit but that car was also very expensive in it's time (& not without it's problems!!).
The Esprit was also intended to be a Porsche chaser.
Lotus must surely know, from past experience, that small, highly effective sports cars is what they're brilliant at, but cars for (B)-ankers in Whapping Wharf is not what they're good at. Leave that to Porsche, Mercedes, Audi & to say the least bloody BMW. (Yes I do bear a bit of a grudge there )
My two penneth for what it's worth
Cheers
John
