Dampers
This winters job.....
Replace dampers, springs and bushes.
Looking at GAZ dampers as supplied by various outlets (inc SJ Sports)
Has anyone any experience (good or bad) of these on their cars?

Re:
Would be interested in knowing how you get on with this ... if you get the time it would be good to see some photos, expeiences from this project to pass on to others. I for one would have no idea where to start so keep us informed, theres always plenty of help online too.
Good luck ...

Dampers
Hi, I have got Gaz dampers on the race car, although they were built to suit the set up of my car from data that I supplied them, I fabricated new top mounts to allow bearings top and bottom and seat for 2 1/4 id springs to enable me to buy springs of many rates for about £20 each. I have been told that protec do alloy coil overs at about the same price, don't know if the list them for the Excel. I believe Mike taylor might do a equivelent Avo set up.

Re: Dampers
Hello Dan, fancy seeing you here.
If the GAZ units are OK on track they should be OK on a 3.5K oer year road car, thanks.
I'll be getting them from autoshock, best price I could find.
I'll also be giving Mike (Lotusbits) a call on Monday.
Looking for 4 new standard road springs and a poly bush set.
The call to Mike will be first so any alternatives can be considered.
Cheers
Dave
