Evening all

I'm Chris from Sheffield. I'm currently driving a Renaultsport Clio 182 Cup and absolutely loving it but I've had this itch for a Lotus for some time now.

I'm thinking a nice Elise 111R but I'm open to persuasion Saying Hello Icon_lol . Hope to speak to a lot of you soon and may be see you at the monthly meetings.

Saying Hello Empty Lotus & a Clio

Post  TimS Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:25 pm

Hello & welcome to the fold.
Yes you will have to scratch that Lotus itch...an Elise 111R - good choice. You really need to decide on either an earlier S1 or later S2 first then have a good look around. It's well worth looking at the dealers links on our site - Paul Matty, Allon White etc and of course PistonHeads.com to start to get a feel for what's around for the money.
I see you compete in the Clio's then, I know Ben Winrow quite well, although I see he is into the Fiat Abarth 500 this year, his Dad is a Lotus fan as well and owns a S1 Elise in Gold Leaf colours, and I've been scared 'sh...less' by Ben in an Exige at Silverstone in the past so it would appear Clio's and Lotuses seem to go well together?
Anywway, good luck with the search.
Cheers,
Tim.
