Re: HSCC Donington
Eddie,
I hope you don't mind me mentioning the Circuit admission:-
"Standard Admission: Admission with classic car"
Normally there is access to the infield area by using the tunnel entrance which is not far away from the Wheatcroft Museum.
Classsic cars are welcomed & there is no extra charge above the normal ticket price which is usually around 10 GBP for HSCC & VSCC events.
Great value for money for a whole days racing.
For those who've never attended before it is worth knowing that full access to the paddock & with discression to the pits is included in the ticket price.
I must find a home in GB to overcome these withdrawel symptoms
Cheers
John

Yes John, all your info is correct, and also our LDC Scottish Snippets man Jim Grant will be there racing his trusty Elan.
Cheers, Tim.

Ah, so they race Snippets in Scotland; are they similar to the Whippets they race in Yorkshire?

Re: HSCC Donington
A word of warning guys......
As at today (Tues 31 March) Donington does not have track licence but I understand that they are pushing to get it for the weekend.
The problem is the new dual-carriageway tunnel between McLeans and Coppice (basically the old one made a lot bigger ready for the construction team for the F1 party) See Here has left a smaller run off area and an 'elephant trap' on both sides of the track, i.e. if you go off there you could easily end up in the tunnel entrance or exit. The MSA have refused a track licence so far (I think this will disappear once the F1 track is complete and be replaced by a bridge - the tunnel is for construction.)
I'm not sure how much of the infield is left for spectators - it is becoming one big building site and certainly the VSCC has been told that there will be very litle of the infield available for our meeting in September.
750MC are due to hold a race meeting on Saturday and HSCC on Sunday. Both are holding their breath at the moment so let's hope that something can be sorted out..........

Hi Mike,
today being what it is, I had to re-read your posting
Truly unbloodybelievable that so many good race meetings could be affected by such a b-lls-up
Walks away shaking head!

Re: HSCC Donington
I've spoken to Jim Grant and he believes all has been sorted with Donington and the MSA as of today. If you are planning to come along to Sunday's racing then might be worth a final check with the circuit but so far all looks good for a great days racing, see you there..

Re: HSCC Donington
Donington has been granted a temporary track licence for this weekend but there is NO OVERTAKING ALLOWED between McLeans and Coppice, so if you go to watch, choose any other spot than this.....
