Re: World Record Attempt - Snetterton
It's a long trek from Cornwall, but sounds like fun! I'm assuming all the cars will be driving round the track for the record attempt.

Fill in the Form .
** Final update **
World record attempt important information
Thank you for supporting this event. Please find below some basic information/procedures that will help to ensure the Lotus Festival and the World Record attempt run smoothly.
* Everybody taking part as a driver or passenger must complete an MSV indemnity form before you can participate in the record attempt. A copy of the form can be found HERE, it will save a lot of time on the day if you could print it off, complete it and bring it with you on the day.
* When you arrive at Snetterton please have your entry tickets ready for collection at the main gate, if you haven't pre-purchased tickets you can pay on the day.
* You will then be directed into the circuit where you will come to 'parade sign on' at this point please hand over your indemnity form and you will be given a wrist band. This wrist band will enable us to know that you are signed on when it comes to assembly for the record attempt so please wear it until that point. If you haven't got a completed indemnity with you we will ask you to pull over and complete one before you are directed to Lotus parking, if this happens there may be a small delay.
* Due to the large number of cars that have attended previous Lotus Festival events at Brands and Snetterton you will be directed to the relevant car park. We will fill from the centre of the circuit out as people arrive. Those with HLC, Esprit, NYLOC & EALC will be directed to their relevant club parking.
* At 12.10, immediately after the GT cup race, we will call everyone to their cars. You will then be directed through 1 of 3 gates onto the race circuit and parked up, hopefully for 10 or so minutes while we get everyone onto track.
* Marshalls will then hold out red flags which will be a warning to have your cars started and ready to go. When they wave the green flag please proceed to follow the cars in front at a maximum of 10mph.
* Cars will be 3 abreast and it's important you keep no more than a 2 meter gap to the car in front but also taking extreme care in the way you drive. It's also important that cars on the outside keep tight to the outside of the track.
BE AWARE THAT THE CAR IN FRONT COULD STOP AT ANY TIME.
* We expect to do between 3 and 5 laps but have plenty of time so there's no rush. At 2 points of the circuit we have corners that will be tight with 3 cars abreast, at these points please be extremely careful, you will be travelling very slowly so there should be no issues.
* If at any point you have a problem with you car please raise your hand or signal to those around you and pull off the track on to the grass or hard standing. If you are in the middle please be extremely careful.
* When the parade is over, and hopefully we have the record you will be directed back into one of the 3 car parks. We will attempt to put you back into the car park you came from but cannot guarantee this so please follow instructions.
Finally, we are grateful to MSV and Snetterton for allowing us to run the Festival and especially the record attempt please act responsibly and follow and directions you are given by a member of staff or marshal. We especially appreciate not having to check driving licenses and that under 18's will be allowed (if signed on) to participate.
If we achieve the record it will take some weeks to get an official certificate. Once that comes through we will email everyone a copy and ask if you would like a copy & celebration sticker posted to you. The parade will be filmed and shown on Motors TV (schedule to be confirmed) as well as being loaded onto the internet for downloading.

Re: World Record Attempt - Snetterton
It was worth it then I guess, seemed a bit silly crawling around the track at the time , but was certainly great to see so many Lotuses in one place together, and damn hot, my temperature guage reached 105 deg several times... still, at least I know the fans work
