The Silverstone Classic experience was second to none last year and with camping just outside the circuit grounds, I am certainly planning on doing the same again for this year.

Advanced payment
Thursday: £45
Friday: £35
Saturday: £25
Sunday: £15

Cash on arrival
Thursday: £50
Friday: £40
Saturday: £30

I have found the confirmation letter from last year but not the price guide, although I do have a record of sending them £30 in advancement and we stayed the three nights ... this year they are quoting £75 for those same three nights Shocked

Okay nice one Paul. Can't understand why they have put the prices up, they weren't exactly packed to the brim last year and that's only going to put more off from doing the same this year. I will have a look at a few of the other close camp sites as well to see what their rates are at for this year.

Update.

We are pleased to confirm that this year’s Silverstone Classic will he held 24,25,26 July at The Home of British Motor Racing . As in previous years one of the main attractions to this event will be the ever growing display of privately owned classic cars which, last year, was made up of no fewer than 68 UK based Classic Car Clubs. We are aiming to have 3,500 classic cars on site for this year’s event which will feature a full day of qualifying and a programme of 22 races over the 3-day long weekend.

The BOGOF offer, 2 tickets for the price of one, will again be available to all Classic Car Club members displaying their cars on the infield. And we have made available a special £5 discount on all individual day tickets purchased by Classic Car Club members prior to 31st March 2009.

Day By 31st March 2009 By 30th June 2009

Friday 24 July £20 £25

Saturday 25 July £30 £35

Sunday 26 July £30 £35

3-Day Event Pass £70 £79

Admission tickets include

FREE Parking

FREE Grandstand Seating

FREE Paddock Transfer

Children under 16 go FREE (provided accompanied by adult, maximum 2 children per adult)

Further ticket options will be announced shortly to include one or both of the Friday and Saturday evening rock concerts. For those purchasing the event only tickets now (as priced above)special discounted rock concert prices will be made available.

To purchase your Club’s tickets you will be given a dedicated booking code, unique to your Club. Tickets will be on sale within the next 2-3 weeks. We will be advising you of details on how to book very shortly but please ask your members to keep an eye on the event site www.silverstoneclassic.co.uk for more information.

Nearer the event we will be sending to you, the Club co-ordinator, a list of your members who have booked to display their car on your Club stand, as identified by the booking code used. This will assist you and us in ensuring that a) they are bona fide members and b) size of the display area is sufficient.

Need more info contact CHRISTOPHER MAYHEW (christophermayhew@btinternet.com)

Yes the club will be having a stand at the show .

The oganisers have change this year Chris M is dealing with them at the moment .

Ahhhhh ... should have seen that coming. I remember thinking the same last year and having to ring them to confirm the details but for some reason I totally forgot. We arrived on the Friday last year but I am going to book up for arrival on the Thursday and make a weekend of it again. You up for the camping fun again then Paul? It would be nice to get more of us together on the site over the weekend but its not to everyone's taste.

I'm up for this one, I only live 15 minutes away but could still be persuaded to go camping. Very Happy Are (K series) S2 Elises classed as classic yet? Rolling Eyes. If not I may have to purchase that Esprit I've always hankered after.
