Fighter Jet Interior
Took some photos of the inside of my Elan with my new CD player in. Think it all matches very well with all the red dials in the cockpit ... feels like a fighter jet lol!

Drivers Demister
Yeaaa ... managed to get hold of a second hand M100 demister unit for my car as the clips have broken on mine allowing the unit to pull away from the dash unit. £25 for a new one but only £5.80 for this one ... thank you flea bay and the seller

Nice pics Trigger! Your Elan looks a lovely example of a M100 thats been cared for and sympathetically modified.
ever thought of changing the rear indicator lenses to clear to finish the job? If I could manage to change mine anybody can

Yes I would like to indeed ... where did you get yours from? I can't recall the company that were making the clear lenses for the M100, which is where I got the front ones from. Also, thanks for the compliment, I do care for my Elan alot and I am a believer in little but effective mods on such a car ... nothing too over the top, not yet or on this one lol.
Re: Lotus Elan M100 S2 #481
you have a PM. Let me know if you require more details. I managed to change mine in a day allowing for the silver paint to dry so you see silver as opposed to black plastic through the clear lens.
If you check mine on multi-story you can see I still have orange bulbs. There are some good silver coloured indicator bulbs that would look better, but cant remember the make..

New Alternator
After having found that my battery light on the dash was staying on and the battery was failing to charge to the point that it ran flat just as I got home (lucky), I sourced a seller on ebay who has a company called Denso re-make the standard Lotus ones and is currently selling them at £135 all in where Lotus quoted £525 plus VAT for a replacement. Ofcourse I said jog on and got in touch with Alan who assured me about the part.
Got it through a few days later and fitted the next day by a mates garage (after taking half the engine out to get to it lol) and even better I saved a +£100 bill for fitting just because my dad uses him for servicing and buying Council Vans. So all in all saved over £500 ... thank you very much Lotus God

Bob browns 16" Willwood Front Brake kit
New brakes arrived yesterday and have successfully been married to the car today!
Robert Brown has kindly put an upgraded kit together to include the Willwood 4 pot callipers with dustseals (35.1mm piston size) along with some beasty grooved discs, green stuff pads and a set of stainless steel brake hoses all round. I was going to take some photos of them tonight but it was dark too early and have started my trip up to the NEC. First impressions are wow they look amazing and it is easy to tell they will perform alot better than the standard Vauxhall callipers that were originally put on the Elan.
Also got some new Michelin Pilot Exalto's put on the back to replace the cracked set that were on there and along with a nice costly service with Stratstone Lotus in Cardiff, its been an expensise month lol.
Bob browns 16" Willwood Front Brake kit
294mm 1 piece Disc 6.8kg
Wilwood 120-7472 (GV-120-7328) Dynapro Calipers 35.1mm piston with Dust seals 1.68kg (Known as Midilite at Rally Design)
Bracket 0.4kg
Greenstuff pads DP2039 http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/
New stainless steel Goodridge brake hoses
