Hi there,

this is my first message & a sort of introduction.
I've just finished working as a Dev. Eng. at a well known Car maker in Bavaria.
Finished in fact a bit earlier than I anticipated but they made it worthwhile Wink
I live just outside of Dachau which has had a bad history in the 40's but in fact is over 1200 years old & is a lovely town.
I've lived & worked here for 30 years (& can now speak German Laughing alien )
Lotus have always been a great passion & my Elan is my first Lotus after a very long break.
Previously I owned the following Lotus; all bought 2nd hand & cheap a long time ago when I was living in England.

Mk7 S1 with MGA 1500cc
Cortina changed to GT rear suspension to stop diff' leaks
Mk 14 S1 Elite bought with 1650cc (116E) Cosworth + Elan G/box
Mk 23B with 1300cc Twin Cam screamer
S2 Europa abandoned project with Spyder frame/suspension; 2 Liter 195bhp Opel/5Speed Renaiúlt G/box; Banks 47 body.
And now My Elan very much modified, sorry purists, it's the way I am Embarassed

A quick hello to "Cleggy"
Hi John here I am & wearing my "L Plates" proudly (errm yes I saw your comment)

Cheers all
John

Yes I've got some Photo's; will sort out a few & see how I get on with posting them.
I know a bit about cars but do struggle with IT. Sad
Biggest problem, I believe, is reducing the size; something I will have to get clued up on.
I believe there is a description of what to do on this site so will study that first.

Cheers
John
